Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Mango, the AI phone receptionist operated by MM Intelligence (“Mango”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Mango answers phone calls for your business using artificial intelligence: it greets callers, answers questions from the business information you provide, takes messages, books appointments, sends notifications, and can transfer calls to you. You configure what Mango knows and how it behaves from your dashboard.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account, including team members you invite.
You must be authorized to act for the business you register.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Mango to:

break the law, including telemarketing, robocalling, and communications laws such as the TCPA;
impersonate another business or person, or configure the assistant to deceive callers about who they are dealing with;
collect information from callers you are not entitled to collect;
probe, overload, or interfere with the service or other customers’ data; or
resell the service without our written agreement.

Calls, recording, and compliance

Calls answered by Mango are recorded and transcribed so you receive transcripts, summaries, and notifications. You are responsible for complying with the call-recording and consent laws that apply to your business and your callers’ locations, including making any required disclosures to callers. Phone numbers provisioned through Mango are provided via our telephony partners and remain subject to their acceptable-use rules.

Text messages: Mango sends transactional texts (booking links, confirmations, call summaries) to people who ask for them, either a caller who agrees during a call or a team member who enables notifications, and, on your behalf, to the people you give us about your work, as described in “Contacting the people you give us” below. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help. Where you register your own number for texting, you confirm the business information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it.

Contacting the people you give us

When you add or give Mango phone numbers or email addresses, for example your tenants, vendors, owners, contacts, or the people who call you, Mango may call, text, and email them on your behalf about your work, such as a repair, an appointment, or a question you need answered.

You confirm that you have the consent or other legal basis needed for Mango to call, text, and email each of those people on your behalf about your work.
Mango acts on your instructions as your agent when it contacts them. The messages are sent for your business and in your business’s name.
You are responsible for that consent, and for honoring opt-outs people give you outside Mango, for example by removing their number or telling us they asked not to be contacted.
Mango honors STOP and other opt-out requests it receives. Once someone opts out, Mango stops calling and texting them for your business.

Access to systems you use

You can ask Mango to work inside other systems your business uses, such as property management software (for example AppFolio), your calendar, or your email.

You authorize it. You may authorize Mango to access and act in those systems on your behalf and at your direction, using credentials, user accounts, or connections that you provide or create, for example a dedicated Mango user account in your property management software.
You confirm you are allowed to. You confirm that you have the right, and any permission required under your agreements with those providers, to give Mango this access, and that giving it does not breach those agreements. You are responsible for making that determination and for the user accounts and permissions you create for Mango.
Mango stays within the scope you set. Mango acts only within the scope you choose, for example maintenance work orders: adding notes, updating statuses, and creating new work orders. Mango does not act on payments, accounting, or account settings unless we separately agree to that in writing. Actions Mango takes are logged and available to you.
You can revoke access at any time. Remove the Mango user or disconnect the connection, or ask us, and Mango will stop promptly. Any credentials you give us are stored encrypted and used only for the purpose you authorized.
No affiliation. Mango is not affiliated with or endorsed by those providers. Their names are trademarks of their respective owners. Whether Mango can work with a given system depends on that provider and may change.
Your responsibility for authority. You will indemnify us against claims arising from your lack of authority to give Mango access to a system.

AI limitations

Mango uses artificial intelligence, and AI makes mistakes. It may occasionally mishear a caller, state something inaccurately, or handle a request imperfectly. You are responsible for reviewing appointments, messages, and summaries, and for correcting anything important. Mango is not an emergency service and must not be relied on to route or respond to emergency calls.

Your data

You own your business information and your call data. You grant us the rights needed to operate the service: to process calls, store transcripts, and send notifications on your behalf. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Fees

Prices are published at mangoanswers.com/pricing or agreed with you in writing. The price you sign up at is yours for as long as you stay subscribed; price changes apply to new customers only. Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Property management plans are billed per door, counted from the properties and units in your account a few days before each invoice and shown to you in Settings before you are billed. Minute plans include a set number of minutes each month; extra minutes are charged at the published rate on your next invoice. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it.

Cancellation and non-payment

You can cancel at any time from your billing page, with nothing to call or sign. Mango keeps working until the end of the month or year you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. If a payment fails, we tell you by email and text and keep answering your calls while you update your payment method. If payment is still outstanding 21 days after the first failed attempt, we pause the service: the receptionist stops answering and calls to your Mango number are forwarded to your own phone. Paying restores the service right away. After 60 days of non-payment we may release your Mango phone number.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for us or others. On termination we will release your phone number per our telephony partners’ rules and delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every call will be answered or handled correctly. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Indemnification

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your business’s use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law, including call-recording and telemarketing laws.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these terms as the service evolves; we will post changes here and notify you of material changes. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
