Mango is an AI phone receptionist operated by MM Intelligence (“Mango”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, dashboard, and the phone answering service we provide to the businesses that use Mango.

Two kinds of people use Mango

Business customers — the businesses that sign up for Mango and use it to answer their phone. For your account data, we are the data controller.
Callers — people who call a business that uses Mango. We process caller information on behalf of that business, which controls how it is used. If you called a business that uses Mango and have questions about your data, contact that business directly; we will support their response.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and authentication details, handled through our sign-in provider (Clerk).
Business configuration: the details you give Mango to answer your phone — business name, hours, services, staff names, FAQs, and notification phone numbers.
Call data: when Mango answers a call, we process the caller’s phone number and the call audio. Calls are recorded and transcribed so the business receives transcripts, summaries, and notifications. Appointment and message details spoken during a call (like a caller’s name and callback number) are saved for the business.
Calendar data: if a business connects Google Calendar, we check availability and create events on its behalf.
Usage data: operational logs and per-call metrics (duration, feature usage, estimated cost) used to run and improve the service.

How we use information

To answer calls, book appointments, and take messages for the business being called.
To deliver transcripts, summaries, and SMS/email notifications to the business.
To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
To communicate with business customers about their account.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your calls or calendar data to train our own or third-party AI models.

Call recording

Calls answered by Mango are recorded and transcribed to provide the service. Call recording laws vary by location, and some places require the consent of everyone on the call. Businesses using Mango are responsible for complying with the recording and consent laws that apply to them, including any required disclosures to callers.

Google user data

When a business connects Google Calendar, Mango requests access only to calendar events and free/busy availability, and uses that access solely to check availability and create appointments the business’s callers request. Mango’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is never used for advertising and is never sold. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored access credentials.

Service providers

Mango is built on trusted infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf: Twilio (telephony and SMS), Deepgram (speech-to-text), Anthropic (language model), ElevenLabs (speech synthesis), Supabase (database), Clerk (authentication), Google (calendar, when connected), Railway and Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email). Each processes only what it needs to provide its function.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, connected-account credentials are stored with an additional layer of application-level encryption, each business’s data is isolated to its own account, and incoming call traffic is cryptographically verified before we process it.

Retention and deletion

We keep call recordings, transcripts, and business data for as long as the business’s account is active or as needed to provide the service. Business customers can request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting us; we will delete it except where we must retain records to meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Business customers can exercise these rights by contacting us. Callers should contact the business they called; we will assist that business in responding.

Children

Mango is a business service and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post changes on this page and update the date above; material changes will be communicated to business customers directly.
